Balboa School was founded in 1991 and was located in Banker’s Hill for over eighteen years. In 2016, Balboa School relocated to Escondido, California. Escondido is located in San Diego’s North County region, only 30 miles northeast of downtown San Diego, California

Balboa School has been accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) since 1998 and is a member of the College Board. The majority of Balboa courses are approved by the University of California’s A-G system. Balboa is NCAA certified allowing all student athletes to be eligible for athletic scholarships.

All Balboa School teachers are qualified, credentialed professionals who are dedicated to the academic and emotional growth of their students.
