The Vietnamese American dual diploma program is designed to help students learn and use English as a second language, this language opens up opportunities to access the world's thinking and knowledge. At the same time, the program focuses on fostering 5 21st-century skills of a global citizen:

Teaching methods are updated, evaluated and measured according to international standards, with the desire to contribute to improving the quality of education in Vietnam.

The program is to build personalization in education, children are free to develop themselves as well as enhance their strengths. Students are fully equipped in terms of knowledge, have access to the parallel academic treasures of the two countries of the US and Vietnam, helping them to have a multi-dimensional view, understand and grasp the essence of the lesson.

In addition to academic development, students are trained and built soft skills such as thinking ability, leadership style, qualities and good attitude to become global citizens while still carrying national identity.

For us, attitude is the key to success. Students are trained in ethics from small daily things such as tidying up their seats after class, being polite to their families & teachers, raising awareness of saving electricity and protecting the environment. In addition, the program also builds many activities such as planting trees, summer camps, exploring nature, etc for students to experience and improve their own knowledge.

The English program is built based on the standards of the Common Core State Standards program - USA, inherits the English program of Balboa School - California, and has been recompiled to suit the study time and learning level of Vietnamese students. The English program takes up a large amount of time, with English Language Arts (ELA) being the main subject to develop skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Language Functions. In addition, the ELL course is designed as part of the supplementary program for students who use English as a second language.
MATHEMATICS

The Math program is designed on the basis of the Common Core State Standards program - USA, with the goal of helping students become familiar with the mathematics language and intuitive thinking. We value logic, problem solving, not just numbers. They will approach the foundation of mathematics creatively, build mathematical competence, strengthen problem-solving skills, communicate collaboratively in learning, and practice patience in facing challenges. In addition to acquiring world knowledge, students still meet the standards of their home country.

SCIENCE
The Science program is one of the focused subjects in the integrated program based on the Next Generation Science Standard program. In addition to worldwide scientific knowledge, students develop scientific research skills through vividly and creatively designed lessons, advanced teaching methods (Inquiry-based learning, Project-based learning, Experience-based learning), and standard facilities. The program strives to create the best research practice environment for students.

VISUAL ART
The Fine Arts program integrates knowledge of traditional fine arts such as painting, ceramics, printmaking, photography, and sculpture with knowledge of other fields such as architectural, environmental and industrial arts. The subject values that students are provided with many practical opportunities to create art, form aesthetic values from deep within the individual, and learn more about the beauty of the national culture. Students will be able to practice, be free to create their own works and develop their painting talents through competitions and activities.

The Vietnamese American dual diploma program focuses on the physical development of students, based on the research on releasing energy so that the body is excited about receiving new knowledge. Developing motor skills for primary school students is essential. The program inherits and adjusts to suit the physical characteristics of Vietnamese students but still ensures the physical standards. Therefore, future generations have a strong, knowledgeable and energetic physical foundation. They also have a rich force in sports, and confidently participate in international sports movements.
GLOBAL CITIZEN
GLOBAL CITIZEN
The Global Citizen Project is a series of activities in the English subject of the Vietnamese-American dual diploma program. The program helps children learn about the cultures of other countries; aware of the responsibility of a global citizen with issues that need attention such as environmental protection, reducing social problems,... Besides, students are built and developed soft skills such as creative and independent ability, helping them confidently participate in international extracurricular activities, cultural/study exchange activities between Vietnamese students and students at Balboa School.
Value difference

The Balboa School high school educational program is the first American program that integrates 5 subjects, is appraised, recognized and authorized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training to teach in Vietnam.

After completing the program, students are awarded dual high school diplomas of Vietnam and Balboa- USA high school. The diploma is highly valued and recognized at all US universities

Three subjects: Math, English, Science are taught 100% in English, native teachers teach 60% and Vietnamese teachers teach 40% of the time. The teachers are carefully selected and trained directly by the BalBoa School. Students not only learn American standard knowledge and methods, but also practice their language skills from a young age.

Subjects: Fine Arts and Physical Education are tailored to Vietnamese students, helping them to approach world cultures while still maintaining the national identity and unique values ​​of the home country. The students receive not only intensive academic training but also develop soft skills, thinking and leadership abilities with the Global Project subject.
