In the process of globalization, especially in the 4.0 technology revolution, education and knowledge are the keys to bringing the Vietnamese student generation to broaden opportunities.
Accordingly, the Vietnamese-American dual diploma program is researched and designed to equip students with the foundational knowledge to adapt to social changes, at the same time equip them with practical integration skills in the future.
The Vietnamese-American dual diploma program focuses on teaching 100% in English 3 main subjects: Math, English, and Science. Students not only improved language ability from an early age, but also learn and practice in class with practical lessons and experiments. In addition, the program also integrates two sub-subjects, Visual Arts and Physical Education. The two subjects have been recompiled to suit the characteristics and curriculum of Vietnam. In addition, the Global Project (As part of the English Language Program) is designed to help students develop the necessary skills for a global citizen.
1. English
Chương trình môn Ngôn ngữ Anh được xây dựng dựa trên tiêu chuẩn của chương trình Common Core State Standards - Hoa Kỳ, và được biên dịch lại cho phù hợp với thời lượng học và trình độ học của học sinh Việt Nam.
The English program is built based on standards of “Common Core State Standards” – America, recompiled to appropriate the study time and level study for Vietnamese students. English program accounted for large amount of time, with the main subject: “English Language Art (ELA) to develop skills: Listening, speaking, reading, writing and function of language. In addition, the supplemental program (ELL) is designed for Vietnamese students.
2. Mathematics
The Math program is designed based on a combination of “Common Core State Standards’ and the program of the Ministry Education and Training (program 2018),
The purpose of Mathematics is equipping foundational knowledge mathematics creatively, forming mathematical ability, promoting solving problem skill, cooperating, the patient ability to face challenges for students.
3. Science
The science program is built based on the integration between Science 2018 of the Ministry Education & Training and “Next Generation Science Standard” Program – America, with the goal of forming self-inquiry, eagerness and develop scientific research capacity of students
4. Art
The Art program integrates traditional art knowledge (such as painting, academics and sculpture) with knowledge of other fields like architectural, environmental and industrial Art. This subject values student being observed and tested, relating aesthetic knowledge into relevant fields and raise awareness about cultural and artistic heritage
5. Physical education
The Vietnamese-American dual diploma program inherits and adjusts to appropriate the physical characteristics of Vietnamese students. Even so, this program still ensures physical standard so that future generation can have a strong physical foundation, knowledgeable and rich competence about sports, confidently participating in international sport movement.
6. Global project
The global citizen project is a series of activities to learn about cultures around the world, learn about issues which a global citizen needs responsible, along with a series of activities within English program to learn about culture and study between Vietnamese and BalboaSchool students
